SEATTLE – July 7, 2011 – Pull out the sun block and pack up the floaties. The VERA Project is hosting the first ever TIDAL RAGE fundraiser on Saturday, July 30th to benefit Surfrider Foundation’s ocean and beach conservation efforts.
Featuring raging hardcore/punk music, a gallery flooded with beach inspired art and an all-night raffle of goodies, TIDAL RAGE 2011 will almost make you forget the last nine miserable months of winter. Almost. Catch killer sound waves from Smooth Sailing, Great Falls, Android Hero and Monogamy Party. Get your silent auction on and bid to win oceanic art, or just buy a raffle ticket for the chance to win gnarly prizes like standup paddleboard lessons for two and T-shirts from MikoJojo Apparel, courtesy of the Washington Surf Academy and Ballard Surf.
Doors open at 6:30pm and ticket are $8 at the door. All proceeds go to support the Vera Project and the NW chapter of Surfrider Foundation. Surfrider is a non-profit grassroots organization with over 50,000 members and 90 chapters worldwide dedicated to protecting the world’s oceans and beaches.
