Maybe I just need to move to Minnesota or something.

So today, I called the real estate company who I’m renting my new place from. I asked them if it would be ready on my move out date of August 1, which is when I said I wanted it ready on the application. And that’s when it hit the fan.

August 1. Well no, the place won’t be ready until at least August 8th.

August 8th??? Great. My current landlord is trying to charge me $26 a day for the privilege of staying any day in August, which means a week will cost me $200/just in overpriced rent. And that’s if she doesn’t just say they’ve already rented it, and need me to get out on the first. Now, if that happens (which I think it probably won’t since they’re all about the money) I will be both officially homeless and out of luck.

Especially since I’ve already given my deposit on the new place, and the application says they will only return it if your application is rejected, and that the move-in date is “subject-to-approval.”

Now, I do believe that we all create are own reality. And I do believe that when things go wrong and not smoothly that it’s a sign of resistance, or a wrong path or something. So now, I’m beginning to wonder if I’m really making the wrong move here heading out that way, and that maybe this is just trying to give me a wake up call about it. But then again, I could just be being dramatic. Right????

In the end, I know whatever happens, it will all be alright. And if I’m totally honest, part of me thinks I should take this opportunity to move my a$$ to Raleigh instead. Or Boston. Or Hawaii. Or, well, basically anywhere else but here.

Man this sucks. Honestly, my life is usually not this dramatic or crappy. Normally it’s pretty fun and interesting. And I’ve pretty much gotten to the point where I don’t really want to think about or deal with any of these “issues” right now, because it seems like every time I try to improve things, it just becomes a train wreck, and I’d like to get back on the track.

Yuck!!!

On the positive side, the grant money I’ve been waiting for has finally arrived, and I will have a new microphone in the mail later this week. All drama aside, I will be happy to get back to filmmaking.
